I honestly don't think most people were fooled into blaming it on Trump. Just the brainwashed faithful whose posts get top priority on social media. It had more to do with normalizing mask wearing before the riot protests and giving states an excuse to expand mail in voting. And since worker pay was rising faster under Trump than it has for most of the past half century, it probably had something to do with stopping the workers from noticing how much the bankers have stolen from us, but that one's more complicated.
