My brother has a buddy with a plumbing business that charges $600 labor just to swap out a water heater. You should see the toys he has at his mcmansion. I don’t know how he sleeps at night, but apparently quite well.

$600 just in labor in the region and manner in which he operates is a bit excessive. A water heater swap is probably the easiest of all plumbing jobs. The buying and disposal of water heaters is a whole separate charge. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t in any way begrudge a man for earning a good living, but $600 for a half hour of midwit level work and hearing him brag about how he fucks people on water heater jobs does not make him a valued member of the community.
