Good luck with that. A lot of 90s software made API calls that no longer exist or are restricted to only Microsoft now. They also did crazy and brilliant things with kernel mode drivers, devices and hooks to improve performance or access hardware efficiently/directly. I have a bunch of 90s era software that I can't load on anything beyond Windows XP (or sometimes Windows 98) because of this. I would love to be able to use some of my old software again, but I just can't do it on modern hardware.
What's the point of running old OSes on a new system then? Also, I have some old hardware that can't be used on a new system because having only PCIe slots makes it impossible to use that hardware. I might as well just run old software on old hardware and not have to deal with a bunch of quirks and issues.
