if we're thinking of the same anecdote I'm not sure, but they have the same conclusion.
this person from a western country working in Africa wanted to help so they set up one person with the ability to make bread. simple enough, no problem there. but when they made a few dozen loaves many ppl started coming and simply taking it, not understanding it had to be paid for. When asked the ppl said, "well you have so much and we NEED it, so you can share." clearly not understanding or appreciating the time it takes to pay for and gather materials, put energy into creating a product and then advertising and selling. they simply saw it as "you have more and I need so I'm justified".
this is why that area is a shithole. no future planning, no understanding of how economies actually function or even an appreciation for someone's efforts to create a product.
That's the same mindset a lot of leftists have too. Tax the rich, they have so much they'll never even miss it! And they never see how that will effect everything else because they can't see beyond the present issue. Their too-rich landlord gets a tax hike on property and they wonder why their rent went up.
I know a lot of leftists like that. If you have a lot of shit, why not just give them some? It's always said like it's so strange not to just give your shit away.
I ordered a pair of boots online that took more than a year to get here, they were very very late so I cancelled the order and the company sent me a new pair and the other pair showed up a week later. This leftist bitch said so nonchalantly, why not just donate the extra pair?
Why? So a nigger could get it? Honestly, I'd rather throw them in a bonfire
solid observation. we've identified the problem. the disconnect from the means of production to final product/service that create not just the economy, but our entire way of life. they "feel" as if it comes straight from the either.
I've read the same goes for businesses there, if a African starts one his whole family come by to get whatever for free and the owner would be shamed if he doesn't provide so they can never stay in business.
I believe thats the story, but there was also a 2nd one floating around at the same time similar to it.
Also I think in the same story he explained that many africans if they get their hands on some money put it in a house, because you cant move/ give away a house, thats why so many half built house s are built all in africa.
So communism?
essentially, at least the mindset. that's the TL:DR version.
