They are talking about user value to site revenue.

Reddit has fewer legally disclosed ads, and doesn't rely on users doxing themselves at account creation, expect that to change, webdevs like social justice/normie shit because user disclosure associated with a name and phone number means big bucks.

I thought that had changed. You need an email to sign up now don’t you? And they prefer a phone number too.

Don't require either but you must verify an email to sub or view quarantined subs.

Whereas parler, facebook, and twitter require a real name and an active, paid, phone number, with sms verification to register.
