It's crazy how they work man. I've even set up traps and not a single one has been caught inside them. They didn't sneak out either, otherwise the bait would be gone too.

There's a chance, but I doubt it. I bought flat-out traps with protein bait made for catching all sorts of wasps, and I even used the more traditional ones where you just put in slices of lunch meat, and have those tubes where you can go in but can't get out so easily. What kind of trap do you use?

Cut soda bottle in half invert top half, fill bottom with some kind of sweet liquid. They go in, they don't go out.
