What about the hornets? Hornets are cunts. Fuck hornets.

I think yellow jackets are a type of hornet. Some hornets look like a wasp with yellow jacket's ass. Make giant nests in the trees and are mean as fuck. Hit a nest with a golfball in florida one year. Holy hell, did not got after that ball.

They look kinda fuzzy. I'd know because my head bounced a nest when I was biking through the woods when I was a kid.

FUCK

HORNETS

My grandmas dog stepped on a hornets nest when my brother and i were looking for kittens in her shelter belt as kids. He yelped and ran and seconds later we thought we were being bitten by snakes. Fuckin booked it back to her house but one got under my bros shirt and stung him like 20 fucking times.

Fuck hornets.

Cow killers.

Not fun. Been stung by one between the webbing of my toes, and another time just above my ankle. Hate those squeeky little fuckshits. I'll take a swarm of yellow jackets over a single velvet ant sting any day.

Cazadores or "tarantula hawks" are the biggest assholes of all. Their sting is the worst pain I've felt outside of compound fracturing my arm.

[–] 1 pt

The sting index has them up there with bullet ants as the most excruciating sting there is.

Here in AZ we have tarantula hawks. Luckly they want arachnids not people. Because they are huge.

Yellowjackets are evil cunts. I was at an Air Force BBQ when I was younger, and one of them went down inside of a little girl's can of soda. She only found out when she took a drink and the cocksucker stung her right on the lips.

Yellow jackets truly are the niggers of the insect world

[–] 3 pts

Bumblebees are Not gentle. They are not the "pandas" of the bee world. They are usually to busy doing their own thing and will not bother you, but if one gets close and you swat at it it's on then!

[–] 3 pts

Had me a carpenter bee couple at a house in Virginia Beach. they'd bump ya if they didn't know ya. fun little dudes. like little guard bees.

[–] 3 pts

what about those black bees that sound like a huey when they get close?

[–] 2 pts

Most hornets behave like paper wasps. It's really only yellow jackets that stick out as the most massive assholes of the century.

Plus they have their nests in the ground and you only find them with the lawnmower

Then you return later with a cup full of gasoline and a box of matches to literally go scorched earth. My childhood lawn was full of charred spots.

[–] 1 pt

there's some black bees around, never see too many of them. they're big as bumblebees, so i imagine that's what they are. they seem to only sneak up on me and scare the shit out of me.

[–] 3 pts

The little hoverfly, aka news bee, will pester you like crazy! It is not because they like you either. It is because they want your salt! They land on you so they can lick your sweat. They lick your sweat for the salt in it.

[–] 3 pts

Dude, no, paper wasps will fucking murder you, especially in the summer. If you are even near one in the summer, just fucking run.

[–] 1 pt

Yeah I've been stung as wèll.

[–] 2 pts

It's crazy how they work man. I've even set up traps and not a single one has been caught inside them. They didn't sneak out either, otherwise the bait would be gone too.

[–] 2 pts

Maybe the bait was no good.

A good offense is the best defense. Go at them with a tennis racquet.

[–] 2 pts

I think yellow jackets look coolest. Never seen one tho

[–] 6 pts

There ain't Nothing cool about a yellow jacket! They are as mean as the devil! They love to swarm you. While you are trying to avoid one 5 of his buddies are getting you from the other side!

They build their nests in the ground. If you ride over one on a lawn mower the whole nest empties out and starts attacking you!

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

Also the nest has to exit points. Ran over both on 1 path with a riding mower. Got stung in the ankle so bad that I couldnt get my shoe on for 3 days because it swelled up so bad. Evil bastards will chase you into a swimming pool

yellow jackets man. there should be a reward for pouring aluminum casts out of their nests.

can't think of anything I detest more next to mosquitos, ticks, deer flies and chiggers.

Half a cup of gasoline makes quick work of the nests. Plus always wear jeans when mowing.

Something beautiful about a little hole with a plume of flame and the sound of dying yellow assholes.

It suddenly made sense to me why americans used napalm on the gooks.

Be 14 year old me left alone during summer break. Left alone with a ground hornets nest just outside the front door. Well, I'm enterprising so why wait until Dad gets home and can pour flaming motor oil down the hole? Ok, let's be honest, why should Dad have all the fun? But I'm also a responsible 14 year old and think better than employing flaming petrol products with no supervision. Next best thing? How about a garden hose?

Surprisingly, was able to get a solid 3 feet of garden hose down the hole with no apparent reaction from the nest. Around the side of the house to turn on the water. Well, we have to see the product of our handywork, yes?

It may have been smarter to just pop my head around the corner and recon the situation first but I chose to Be Bop around the corner normally only to come face-to-faces with a writhing hissing cloud of insectoid hatred. Turns out..they have better eyesight than you might imagine. Chase ensues.

I was able to make it to the patio door and slam it shut just in time to avoid the body of the cloud of hate but one particularly fast little cocksucker did nail me on the ankle. Those bastards were slamming into the glass door for a solid 10 minutes.

"Hey, sis...don't to outside, ok?"

But I won. They were gone the next day. Nothing left but a muddy hole in the ground and a handful of dead soldiers.

Here in France we had a lot of them but they disappeared when the COVID lockdowns started.

When I moved to the south the cicada killer freaked me out since they were so big. They’re harmless but sound like a hummingbird when they fly by.

[–] 2 pts

Yellow stripey things are so cute and ugly at the same time.

I appreciate the quality aero dynamic build of the yellow jacket and paper wasp. Really sleek and almost engineered look to them.
