It’s certainly one way to begin the work in society to prevent the extinction of Whites, without triggering “racist” alarms. A blue-eyed man can argue that he’s preserving this valuable recessive trait, without overtly asserting the racial dimension (though it’s obvious). I’ve been able to red-pill people on a few occasions just by pointing out that blue eyes will eventually disappear if steps aren’t taken to preserve them.
The problem was actually failing to keep tight moral control on men. Look at S America. Entire hybrid race created by white chistian men effing natives. 1/3 of all African American males have R1b y haplotype => about 1/6 of AA dna is white, almost exclusively from white men. Virtually no white mitochondrial dna in the AA population. Tight moral control of men is equally important.
Not trying to detract from the point, but I have brown eyes, my wife has hazel eyes. All three of our kids have blue eyes. My mother and her father have blue eyes so I know where it came from. However the theory isn't fool proof recessive genetic traits can show up.

Green is the most valuable of eye colors. I remember posters from when I was young saying green eyes accounted for ~0.8% of people, while blues were ~2.5%. The country was a lot whiter back then.
Green eyes are classic Irish / Icelandic - Viking blood. You can't ever go wrong with Viking blood.
