The internet has become a replacement for books, except emotional force holds more power on the internet than truth and logic. We developed a more sophisticated means of transferring knowledge, yet it's used to serve the same purpose as gorillas shrieking. Perhaps the chasm between reasonable people and the unwashed masses is far more vast than we're comfortable believing.
