Most, if not all, green bullshit in first world countries are financial scams with zero regard to environmental impact. A great example are these biomass power plants, they basically burn trash and wood chips made from trees, railroad ties, and telephone poles treated with creosote.

It isn't their population. It is the outsourced manufacturing and the fact that the cheap shit they produce then has to cross the globe in container ships that give the same emission as 50 million cars and neither is regulated emissions.
