One time in Japan I approached a random girl waiting at the subway to ask if I was taking the right train. I had no ulterior motive whatsoever, she just happened to be the closest person there. I said "excuse me" in nipponese, and she just about jumped out of her skin.
Nips just don't really talk to strangers in public. Least of which some uppity annoying nigger.
They are sacred when you ask them in english, but even more so if you speak moon rune.

She helped lol. It's hit or miss of course but generally they just don't like to be disturbed in public.
