Yeah Wow, and largely being compounding interest accrued on fiat dollars as well. Politicians simply do not give a fck, it's not their money and to them there is a seemingly inexhaustible supply of it (or at least supply of tax paying suckers to continue draining it from), and anytime there is a 30 sec media sound bite saying they do care or want to do something about it, its totally for 'optics', absolutely knowing they'll never do a damn thing about it ....
