nah. You're not dense, you just lack context. On 4chan and other similar social media platforms the bust of a Nordic man is kind of a dog whistle for white pride and poking fun at other races, particularly those less civilized.
The bust is used as a background for some meme or other and some of the memes are actually quite cleverly worded or insightful.
However, as a "white" guy I'd like to point out that it wasn't until the Roman conquest that Western Europe began to have some association with common themes of more advanced civilizations. Of course we must not forget about the industrial revolution and blossoming of science that led the rest of the world to our modern age.
They shouldn't use a blonde, straight haired white guy. They should use a dark, curly-haired white guy like me. I pretty much look like a bust of Julius Caesar.
