Exactly, if the guy was trying to tell me race cars are going to be electric in the future I would agree, they are better performing machines for racing. But, everyday use for the normal man is simply fantasy land shit.
I disagree with them being better for racing, they are inherently heavier.
With current battery technology sure, but they are only getting lighter. It will reach a point where it will be advantageous to run them instead of an IC engine.
Don't get me wrong here, I have a deep passionate love for the internal combustion engine. Building one back after it has exploded itself to bits is one of the most visceral experiences a human being can have in my opinion.
I still don't agree. Even if they are lighter, the demands will cause heat issues. If somehow carbon nanotubes are used, that tech can be applied to ICs.
Everyone says it's a matter of time, but no one can predict the future. What will happen is they will be shoved down our throats.
