I grew up with dogs, was a Huuuuge dog person back in the day. Now however, I am all about my cats. When I get home, where the dogs are going spastic and destroying the house, the cats come out to see me in their nice and chill way.
Dogs are a tornado of “OMFGWTFYOUREALIVEOMG!!!!!!!!”
Cats are a blissful whisper of “whaddup bro. Oh, yeah.... I left that mouse head for you, enjoy”
Dogs are great, but I kind of feel guilty if I don't have the time to spend with them. Cats, not so much.
If you live in the city, are at work all day, and are barely at home, cats are the way to go.
If you're on a farm, or have a shop pet that lives in the workplace, greets customers, etc. dogs can't be beat.
Also, young kids. Dogs are great for young children because they both want to play all the time.
