I live in the middle of nowhere so I can leave a package on my porch for probably a week and not have to worry about it, unless there is something edible inside at which point the bears/raccoons/foxes/etc. would tear it open. However I used to live in a more urban area, and while we didn't have many porch pirates (going to assume it's since nigger and spic population was very very low), it happened a couple times so I can understand how fucking annoying this is, especially in places where there are a lot of them. Bravo for the glitter bomb idea.

Someone posted this yesterday I want to say. It wasn't perfect and had some problems, but it did raise awareness nonetheless though to me personally.
I've never had a package stolen and I wouldn't mind if it was cheap or wouldn't be that mad I guess, but if someone stole my PC parts I would of been very upset myself (I just built my new PC a few months ago). This is more or so a positive social experiment to me personally or a well done usage of a social experiment to me personally.
It at least raises awareness about package theft to me personally though. If not other stuff to as well. I don't know if it will slow down package theft or anything like that though.
