I had construction projects in Minot, Bismarck and Fargo ND from 2015-2018. Government work, I now know why I won the job. Trying to get help, housing or food was Near impossible thanks to Hess Oil. What was available came at an inflated price I'm afraid to say. Now I don't know if that's shale related. But I believe it was Minot that almost had to close because NO ONE was willing to work for $15 an hour at any restaurant or gas station or our project as Everyone was working on the oil project in one way or another for near $50 an hour. As a project manager North Dakota was a nightmare.
Again don't know if that's related but it was during Trump's term.
