I've always had this idea in the back of my head, but never been able to put it into words like you just did. Just this vague notion that fiat was a trap. 1. John owns property. 2. John has stopped using fiat currency and only barters 3. John even gets his gas through barter (fuck it why not) from a neighbor who runs a jerry-rigged refinery. 4. Somehow the EPA doesn't come out to arrest the refinery guy. 5. John is going to town to buy reloading supplies for his guns. 6. The cops stop John. They fine him for having no insurance 7. John ends up bartering for cash to pay the fine. Normally events like this would continue, and each time John would barter for cash that he normally doesn't even use. But this time is different. 8. John can't enter the court building without the 'real ID' 9. This year your ID says its a requirement to be jabbed to enter. 10. John is not jabbed. 11. He misses his court date stuck outside the building. 12. The court holds him in contempt and issues a warrant. 13. If john isn't killed in a blaze of glory, then lets assume he goes to jail. 14. He can't pay his fine, and then the state notices he hasn't paid his property taxes either. 15. They seize his house 16. Fifteen illegals or afghans are moved into his home while he is in jail. 17. John is now a felon for tax evasion. 18. Somehow, he bargains his way out. 19. He now lives in a rented trailer. 20. The skilled trade that let him go off-grid doesn't want felons. 21. His license to operate in that trade is revoked "for hatespeech." John is cancelled. 22. John works a minimum wage job to pay for his rented trailer. 23. One day the ATF breaks down his door to confiscate his guns, because the paper-work finally caught up and the fact lazy diversity hires finally realized john is a felon and a gun owner. 24. They shoot johns one-eyed dog, winkie. Winkie is now blind. Winkie has severe pain. 25. John takes winkie to the vet, but she watches CNN and recognizes John's face from the story about the "Crazy prepper arrested for tax evasion". She clicks her tongue and says "Fie! Fie! You should get vaccinated first. I can't help your dog until you do." 26. John would take her to court accept he can't enter a court building, and he can't afford a lawyer on $10-12/hr. 27. John is a ~~second class citizen~~ slave. 28. John concludes "being peaceful is not the answer." Millions of others reach the same conclusion, one at a time. This is just one scenario of the thousands of ways people like john can be ostracized, cast out of society, and fucked with. What it is, is, as the left likes to call it, fascism. Fascism of the left.
