He's talking out his ass. Taxes have always been here. Largely leaned toward tariffs. But everything I've stated above is the facts of the historical record. His ignorance or deception doesn't change this. His idiocy claims filing is voluntary but filing is not required as paying personal income tax isn't actually required. Why would you file and pay that which is not required? Regardless, the IRS' requirement to file is a well established constitutional 5th amendment violation. You are not required to provide evidence against yourself. Compelling this is a crime. The federal government is supposed to be tiny. It's supposed to survive on tariffs. The rest is paid for by local taxes and bonds. This is why war bonds exist, to pay for a national military in times of war. It's why militias have full access to all arms in standard issue - until the military is raised. Obviously much has been corrupted.
