You inspired me. I went with pancakes and sausage.

Rather than syrup, try them with a bit of peanut butter and chocolate sauce for Reese's Peanut Butter Waffles.

Awesome. I would love to get ahold of an old unit like that. Modern appliances are crap.

I played a game that is like Cards against humanity, but with MUCH worse/disgusting answer cards. Many involve the use of the word waffle (blue waffle, waffle stomp, Mexican waffle) that required me to use urban dictionary to even know what the hell they mean. I'm glad that your post was of an actual waffle.

Yes, mine was delicious waffles for breakfast.

What version of jews against humanity did you have?

It was called something like "politically incorrect". I've never seen it in a store, so it might be something that can only be purchased online.

There were a number of work-withs, I seem to remember a few with something like that name.

Looks like it's still just batter time in the photo.

Now that is waffle time.

I'll eat part of one this morning while it's hot and crispy, munch on the other half the rest of the day, and freeze what's left for later. They toast well.

Shit, I'm late!

There's enough for everyone.

Made me question. What is the general consensus, are waffles or pancakes better. I found this amusing response in a search.

Waffles are in the lead over pancakes with higher calorie, cholesterol, and salt figures. So, waffles are more likely to kill you, and that gives them an extra point.

lawl.

That waffle maker is pretty sweet.

Waffles and pancakes are both superb in their own right. That answer was not written by a breakfast food enjoyer Chad.

Nice to see that old GE is still working! Had the same one here growing up. Waffles, pancakes and heatin up soft tortillas for tacos with that champ for decades.

That one came from my grandmother. When I got it, it was still new in the box with the old-school UPS postal meter style shipping tag. She must have ordered it for some reason in the 1980s and never used it.

Unless the heating coil opens, this should continue working forever.

I bet she ordered it out of the old Sears catalogs. I think that's where my parents got theirs in the early 80's.. hell it might have been in the 70's.

We had a Sears Catalog Store in town, so that (or the J.C. Penny Catalog) wouldn't surprise me.

There's a chance it could have been a gift from my grandfather's employer, because gramma wasn't the kind of person that just bought something she never used. She had the depression-era mindset.
