"Friends" brought over a box of walmart house brand tier frozen patties so I could make burgers. Jalapeno-bacon-peanut butter was a pretty effective way to kill the taste of the 'meat'.

I do think their goal was to never be asked to provide the protein again.

It does make one wonder how much soy and insect protein is in a Walmart patty.

They listed beef and 'spices' as the ingredients. As to what part of the cow, total mystery. If it was mystery meat, I'd've probably served the patties to the jackasses that bought them, and pulled other freezer meat for the people I care about.

You're probably fine then. It will be the poorer cuts but that doesn't mean they are garbage or bad for you. It could also be meat that was frozen a long time ago, in which case the flavor suffers.
