What's your budget?
I'm thinking a 100 bucks.
Hmmm. Just know that you're going to be sacrificing some performance at that price range. My buddy just picked up a $240 Diawa and there's a big difference between that and his old Abu Garcia.
I haven't looked at baitcasters in a while but I'd stay away from anything that doesn't have an easily accessible brake adjustment. My Shimano is behind a little cover on the side and it's a huge pain in the ass to access. Shimano makes good stuff I just hate the brakes.
Another thing to consider is retrieval hand. I got mine from a buddy and it's right hand retrieve. I'm right handed so I'm switching hands constantly while casting and my left hand is retarded so I have a hard time working stuff like a walking bait with my left hand and reeling with my right. See if you can hold left and right retrieve and see if you prefer one or the other.
I suppose I'm not totally against spending that type of money, but my thinking was not to blow the bank just to try this type of reel and see how I like it, but on the other hand there is an argument for if I'm going to do it may as well buy the good shit to start and not 100 now and 240 later.

Good thing to consider.
