It's always been jews, but they had a good cover at the beginning because people were distracted by the novelty and didn't look into it very deeply. It was never some sole japanese guy who pulled this off, but that was good enough a story to satisfy most people.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. If you look at the code, it appears to be one guy who didn't really know how to code.
The guy who helped him clean it up early on was Finnish, a guy named Marti Malmi. The earliest developers who were known weren't jews.
