They were promised high paying jobs if they had a degree, but they weren't told that the degree had to be something meaningful and not in something stupid and would be considered a Mickey Mouse Class. Their logic is since they can't get a job relating to Germanic Polka Folk Art and Interpretive Dance, the debt should be cancelled/forgiven because of false advertising because there no jobs that need that expertise.
Boomers and early GenX failed them, just like all of GenX, and early Millenials are failing at warning late Millenials/GenZ the dangers about going to USC/UCLA/Stanford/Harvord/Yale/wherever for your whole bachelors program is a waste of money.
