yeah, its a really weird phenomenon. Almost 100% of the products we buy in the US is made outside of the US and theres no way for any of us to know if the place we are getting this cheap product from is using slave labor. Although, deep down everyone knows something cant be that cheap that often without slaves being involved.
I like to have this kind of conversation with blue pilled people for the lols (women mostly. No one is safe from this convo, I'll target family, friends and random ladies in line):
me: "It's so great we ended slavery in the USA. That was so lame, what were we thinking, owning slaves is evil."
"I know right? Slavery is so lame!"
"Sucks we still have to rely on the slave trade though. Slaves are still used overseas where we have alot of our manufacturing power. Ugh, I'd totally pay more for products made in the USA or make my own products by hand, but even some of the tools that I own that were originally products made in the USA have been slowly switching their manufacturing power to foreign countries where the labor and material used is much cheaper. Damn, what do we even own that wasnt made by modern slaves amiright? But I mean, at least we arent the slaves anymore but its fucked up we still rely on them. I guess its ok to take advantage of slaves as long as we dont own them and theyre not on US soil."
"What? Wha- uh... yeah... huh.... I guess..."
"I mean, what can we even do to break the cycle?"
"I don't know, I mean it's just so much cheaper to do it this way. We don't know for sure theyre using slave labor! Our businesses cant compete with their prices. This is just the way it is, and what can I do to change that? Nothing."
I make them admit to me they know they rely on slave labor for their products and they arent willing to change their lifestyle because for whatever reason. the conversation causes such cognitive dissonance that very often the person malfunctions and switches topics lol. It's great because everyone is somewhat aware of this but it never comes up in discussion. I can drop a redpill-ish thought without revealing my power levels.
(soft edit)
I always respond with 'What's wrong with slave labor??. We get cheap affordable products, they get a meal and somewhere to sleep - which is a great deal more than if they were not working' /lol.
