Many people think their window motors are going because their windows roll up slow or stop when rolling up. A quick trick cheap is get some silicon lube with a straw attachement like wd40 has. Sprayt the rubber where the windows roll into and spray regular lube down into the door where the metal channel is. Your windows just needed lube on the channels so the motor doesn't work to hard is all. Many garages will tell you they did a lot of bullshit with opening the inside of the door and replacing the motor and charging you $200 for lubing the window and smile as they bill you. Yes they are Hacks billing for bullshit but so many do it you can't tell which ones are good and which ones suck nowadays.

I recently had to replace a window regulator on my wife's car. The cable had frayed and it jammed up. After replacing the regulator and trying it out, the window rolled up slowly and got stuck. No cable strands popped, fortunately, but I ran for the can of silicone lube in a hurry. Sprayed those channels down and went all around the other windows too. Let it soak for a bit and then they all moved freely. This is a great tip to know. I can't imagine what it would have cost me to fix if I hadn't known what to do.
