I have been advocating for responsible government for years now. Responsible government as in immigration officials need to be responsible for any harm any immigrant they let in makes. Meaning the immigrant would be in the country in the first place to do the crime if the immigration official didn't let him in. The same goes for setting bail, sentencing, policing, etc. Make government officials share the jail cell of the criminals they set free.
