On July 10, 2016, Karen Lee Sivek was at home with her granddaughter when two men broke in. As Carl Robinson and Davonta Morris invaded the house, they shot and killed Karen, but her 14-year-old granddaughter survived a hit to the neck and ran to the nearest police station.
