They always have the flattest, most dour intonations. Like every question I asked her was sounded like I was sentencing her to a death-march. She could not answer my question, but I was referred to another person who might be able to.
Regardless, I wrote the Indian lady a nice email back, thanking her for her help, and she responded saying it was really nice talking to me, and punctuated the email with a smiley face???
