Two Just Stop Oil protesters interrupted Sigourney Weaver’s live performance and fired off a confetti cannon just feet away from the star.
The members of the environmental activist group invaded the stage Monday during the famous actress’ performance in “The Tempest” at the Theatre Royal in London. Weaver was in the middle of her show when activists identified by the group as Hayley Walsh and Richard Weir stormed onto the stage and stood just a few feet away from the star.
They held up a sign that read, “Over 1.5 degrees is a global shipwreck,” as seen in a video circulating online. Without warning, the pair fired off a confetti cannon.
