Ive got some ideas myself easily get it down to 550
I didn't install the plastic cap on the rj45 keystone, that shaved about 1700 off alone. I could shorten the cable as well because everybody knows that stuff is $100 an inch.
edit: short story time related to cable length/cost. Back in 94 I was doing network installs with this older guy who had been dealing with all manner of cabling on the arpanet in universities and gov would always pull the cable drops out of the wiring closet down the hall and tie them to a chair. One day I ask "Why pull so long? Isn't that a waste?". His reply of "The most expensive cable on Gods earth is the one that is one inch to short."... Words to live by, also that's what she said.
I was going to suggest shortening the cable. Damn now I have to find another way to undercut the price.
Also, that feeling when you pull a run and its 1 inch too short.... I'm having flash backs now.
It is the worst. You instantly realize you have to go crawl up in some nasty places with all manner of dust to re-do the thing you just did.
