Yeah it is an office full of boomer r tards. I wonder how had this thing would fry a NIC if it got plugged in... Think I will make a dummy plug that has no connection to plug in so that doesn't happen.

I'd be surprised if it did but I suppose it's possible. I'm pretty sure I must have crossed all those wires before installing a plug on some rj45 that was still plugged in cuz lazy.

Yeah it would most likely be ok. Most Nics have opto-iso diode protection, the thumb drive on the other hand might take a wallop.
