The only videos I see about Vegas these days are of people making small wins, like being up a couple of thousand bucks or something small, and then security comes and tells them that they "play too well" and not not allowed back on the property. So they only want people who lose money and do nothing about it. When you have absolutely zero chance of having a big win, why would anybody want to gamble at all?
The only other thing I have seen about them recently was talking about what the casinos did during COVID. they were basically shut down so they sold the land under their casinos to hedge funds and whatnot, and agreed to pay rent. That rent is jot cheap. When they owned the land and only had to pay property taxes, they could do things like free drinks, free suites to try and entice people to risk more in the casinos. That is apparently all gone now. Why they didn't just suck it up for a year I will never know, but now all of the perks that used to entice people are gone.
Why they didn't just suck it up for a year
Because the house isn't accustomed to losing.
The house does not actually lose, with less traffic, the house is just not making as much, so they have to boot out the few that simply win by absolute fucking blind ass dumb shit idiot luck.
Watched a jewtube yesterday Vegas, its a fucking ghost town, rooms are 30-50 a night, with resort fees of 40-80, then add the 13.8% tax on the room and on the resort fee. Room: $30 Tax: $4.14 Resort Fee: $50 Tax: $6.90 Total: $91.04 a night Parking: $50 daily (they often hide this whether you park or not) Tax: $6.90 Grand Total:$147.94 a night
Three Night Stay: $443.82, for a fucking advertised room of $30 fucking dollars. And with the lack of traffic, everything is broken. Don't walk the strip, chances of getting robbed, stabbed, raped or rolled, is close to 90%. Win big? You are fucked, have them wire the money home, else you get followed and likely jacked in the car ride home.
Everything has a fee, the front desk has no people, checking on phone, have to use the app, so you are tracked. Stand in line to check in with the 200 others, takes an hour, every 15 min, "what to skip the line, for 100 you can check in now, for 75 you can, for 50 you can, for 25 you can" What to check in early (check in is now 5-6pm) we can do that, for $100, late checkout, sure, $150
Food sucks, and is high, drinks suck and are high.
Basically everything sucks.
