This is the same phenomenon as when politicians talk about "price gouging". It's not "price gouging". It's supply and demand. The government should never dictate prices. There should be no minimum wage or price controls ever.
The only thing the government should get involved in is price fixing. If corporations collude to set prices instead of competing to offer the lowest price, then that's a cartel and all of the executives and board members need to be tried and executed.
