I know several building contractors. Everyone of them has the same story. They can't find reliable workers. There is so much work they are turning people away because they don't have the guys. They'll get a guy that says he is the man, needs money, and wants to work. He'll work til he gets paid, then doesn't show up til he needs money again. Or worse, shows up all fucked up, Rinse and repeat, on countless guys. OR They get a guy who actually does work and learns. After a minute, he thinks, he's got it and starts doing jobs on his own. Next thing you know, he's calling for help because he can't handle it. I'd imagine this is the same story across the country.
