Bob murphey was on timcast a few nights ago made the point that the (((republicans))) ran (at least they did in the past) on a platform of having a balanced budget; not raising the debt ceiling is the definition of having a balanced budget, and yet they keep raising it. All they have to do is vote no; they don't have to propose anything, write anything, promote anything, nothing; they just have to freeze the ceiling and have the government adjust accordingly.
