The AMA literally got itself an antitrust exemption during Bush. They don't like competition.
You can point out the corruption of the system until you're blue in the face, but what makes you think it would ever end up in your utopian ideal of "free market" in the first place? Who's to say that 'capitalism' isn't working exactly as intended?
