Bad analysis. Less total people turning out for theaters does not mean some movies won't do comparatively well. Movie attendance will still be in pareto-like distributions, with disproportionate attendance for the top movies. The three or four examples they listed of "movies people are interested in seeing" aren't even good movies. Movies are getting worse, of course. But everyone can see that.
