Same here. The last movie my bf and I went to see in the theater was The Lighthouse. It was just pretentious and the theater was about a million degrees and we were sweating and miserable the whole time.
We torrent anything we want to watch and sit in the comfort of our own homes. Turns out we pretty much never watch anything modern. Seems like mostly stuff from the 80s or earlier, if we watch anything.
I end up seeing woke crap in just about anything modern. It's even in the novels I read and books in contracted to narrate. I just don't get why stories have taken the back burner.
