I watched this the other night on my favorite free streaming site. I didn't find it a disaster. It was entertaining enough that it kept me watching. It was also needlessly vulgar and disgusting, and monumentally stupid. I guess what the director intended as humor and wit and satire and irony, I understood as stupidity. None of the characters is very interesting. What's-her-name, the crazy chick who used to fuck the Joker, was wasted. She's not even in a large portion of the movie. One of the more interesting characters, the weasel, dies in the first few minutes, only to come back to life in the final minute of the movie and run off into the trees. The shark really isn't much of a character -- it's just sort of a Hulk rip-off, but without the Hulk's edge. The rest of the characters all seem to blur together, except for the polkadot guy, who was odd enough to stand out. What can I say about the Big Evil? Dumb. Dumb-de-dumb-dumb. Also, a rip-off of Alien. In fact, the writer of the movie came up with nothing original -- it's all derivative. There are a couple of interesting casting choices. Dr. Who. The Man in Black (not that one, the other one). I honestly couldn't say where the 185 million dollar budget went, however. Somebody's expense account got padded bigtime.
