I've never heard of Kratom being referred to as a "supplement". I have seen that blacks like to smoke it to get some sort of high though.

From the post:

>Doctors are warning Americans about the health effects of an increasingly popular supplement linked to a spate of deaths — which can also change the color of someone's skin. Kratom first became popular in the US as an opioid withdrawal treatment, but more recently has gained ground as a wellness supplement for anxiety and stress. But the plant leaf extract — sold in wellness stores and gas stations for about 20 cents per pill— has been linked to a range of serious side-effects, including seizures, hallucinations and crippling addiction.

Bull fucking shit.

I have used kratom for 7 years for pain management for a degenerative spinal disorder. C4 to T1. Gas station kratom is the problem, not the plant itself. Buy from proper herb company, all is well. It's a cousin of coffee FFS.
