At first we thought it was a meteor shower of some kind. There were some really good ones -- streaking green across the night sky like when you get a piece of metal burning up in the atmosphere. Then instead of long, streaking trails, some of them started to appear to hit something in the sky and puff like flak. Now and then they didn't streak but just a spot in the sky would bloom into one of these puffs. Some of the lights were bright yellow, in addition to the green from before. And you could almost see a pulse or shockwave go through everything when any of these puffs appeared.

They became more and more frequent until the whole sky was lit up like the finale of a fireworks show in hell and everything was trembling and vibrating. The green and yellow lights seemed to cast their glow on the outlines of everything in the square and all of the people in it, except the green outlines and the yellow outlines of each shape separated and spread further and further apart, blurring everything.

The geometries started to somehow become less distinct. There seemed to be roaring sound or just lots of free energy, but not in any specific or memorable manifestation. Everything seemed less meaningful, so that it seemed obvious that reality had finally reached its breaking point and had begun to rip apart. And I thought, "Huh, this actually makes a lot of sense" before I woke up.

Sorry, man. It wasn't a dream.

I thought of that. It would raise some interesting questions about where I am now.

Where are you now?

Well, I don't know. I guess I never knew.
