I only get rescue dogs now because of her. I'm getting old, dawned on me somebody needed to take care of these older dogs, like I hope someone takes care of me when I get there.
Hell yeah. No puppies for me and Mrs. Prof.
I volunteer at a couple of shelters and I'm the annoying bastard who tries to talk people out of adopting puppies in favor of adult dogs.
Good for you. I have an Older Yorkie and this little guy that I'm not really sure what he is. Sort of looks like a Yorkie, but not really. Plus his hair is almost White.
I have two hounds, both of which are from shelters. (One from each.)
Both are older and wouldn't have found homes if people only wanted puppies. I'm proud to work with group that recognize that and work on finding homes for older dogs.
