I've been a firefighter for about 17 years. I don't risk my life for dogs and cats or other animals. I can't imagine my wife having to explain to my grand children why PaPa is dead for being stupid. When I train the younger folks in the department about rescue work I tell them to not be stupid and do stupid shit. Risk a lot to save a lot, risk a little to save a little. Risk nothing being stupid.
