I have the opportunity to get this 9 month old female Springer (100% deaf) as a companion for my 3 y.o. female brittany. I've had Springers before along with a handful of Brittany's but I've never had the experience of having a deaf dog.

Just wondering if anyone has or has had experience with a deaf canine. Our brittany is extremely well trained and works with hand signals but I'm a little unclear how training a deaf dog would go. This pup has had no obedience trading at all.

I've had a deaf Argentinian Doga. She was very clingy because of it, which was fine. Always walked close to me and by my leg to keep in physical contact to know where I am. Slept by my bed and I had to keep my arm hanging down so she could lie next to it to know I'm there.

Was one of the best and most loyal dogs I ever had. Died from brain cancer at about year 4.
