He very seldom rides in truck, except like when I fix fences etc. I leave every morning in the jeep usually and its not a problem ( 5 am) . Now I take trash every two weeks in the truck. He has followed me before but only once a time. He is to tired usually (summertime) to try again after I take him back home. I pick up my sisters trash at the front of the road.

Today that fucker followed me 7, god damn 7 fuckin times! 3/4 of a mile. I stop and wait to see if he is gonna follow (out of sight). I had to keep taking him back asshole. I finally had to get sis to come down and stay with him, she said he howled and ran from window to door the whole time I was gone. WTF?

a change in behavior could mean something is up. either with you or him or maybe he knows that shit is about to get real and wants to be next to you when it kicks off.

The dog has separation anxiety. It's worse when you don't follow a pattern. They are fine if you leave the same time every day, but mix it up and they'll freak out. You should just let the dog ride in the truck.

evidently,he thinks when I leave in the truck he should go? But he is not leash trained, he just sits down and wont move but thats not usually a problem for what we do.
