SpouseAnon and myself both devastated 15yrs old. He just went down quick the last 2 days, and I can't see him suffer anymore. He defended his pack, made the perimeter every night marking and checking the property. Slept next to us. At my side daily. Best and most loyal devoted friend.

There is something about losing a truly loyal animal that is so heartbreaking. They are just so ride or die, so pure and nearly unconditional with their love as long as your treat them right.

I lost my cat a little while ago. I get really sad in the morning when I wake up, wondering why he is not next to me, only to remember he is dead. He was a very stupid cat, like really fucking stupid, but his loyalty to me was undying. He would stop at nothing just to hang out and be by my side, which was fucking annoying when I had to kick him out of the room whenever I had a girl over.

I hope Sam and O-Dog end up in some sort of pleasant animal afterlife, and I hope you and your spouse get through the hard times ahead together.

Thanks so much. My daughter told me to think about a Russian blue cat. They don't key allergies.
