Don't dogs that evolved in climates like this develop fur that makes this "snow encasing" possible? They essentially form a body-tight igloo around their little doggo bodies.
To those of us who don't live in "frozen hell climate" type areas, this looks horrifying. Surely, that dog is FREEZING TO DEATH, right?
Nah, he's fine. He's probably warmer than the woman wearing all of the heavy clothing. Dogs aren't stupid. If he needed better shelter, he would've sought it, but he deemed that this little shed plus a snow blanket was enough. And he's right.
