Yeah I've got an Aussie, she is actually pretty low energy as far as Aussies go but super smart and when she gets going it's quite impressive. Seen her jump off a 15 foot drop, scrabble up a ~7-8 foot verticle dirt wall to get out of a creek (while I was mocking her for getting stuck down there). Other dogs are faster but she turns on a dime.
I built a dog sized cat toy out of PVC pipe w/ some flexible rope and a dog toy tied to the end. I swing it around and she will do high jumps to pull it out of the air, or chase it around in circles. Next best thing to having a heard of sheep or a 3 story balcony.
