I miss my dog so fuckin much!

What happen to them

Very suddenly died of leukemia about two weeks ago. Picked up a limp doggy from outside after punishing him for shitting on my bed. Feel like I was responsible, but even the vet told me I wasn't. Still feeling the repercussions of my actions though. Can't shake it. ☹

I read the article and yes I saw the cheating wife. What's that have to do with Scotland

It was an Anthony Weiner laptop joke.

Now, I didn’t say it was funny....

But the idea is that they would’ve lost a wiener dog’s laptop. I mean it’s just getting even worse as I explain it.

I’ll go kill myself now.

Ricky click.

:)

How are these dogs relative to say a golden retreiver? People keep on telling me they are assholes and terrible to have, but none of them have a weinie and have some other nonsense breed.

Well, I had a retriever mixed with a lab when I was a kid. It chewed everything. I mean, everything. Thousands of dollars of destruction. It was too big for me to handle and hurt me often with how rambunctious it was. I really don't remember much beyond that and I never considered owning another after that.

I didn't intend on getting a dachshund. My neighbor had a batch of puppies and someone backed out at the last minute. They were so cute that I was over at her house playing with the puppies as often as I thought I could without being a nuisance. I even gave them their puppy shots and wormed them. They were all so delightfully funny, full of character, and smart. When someone backed out there was no way I couldn't take home this little girl. I had named her before she was even mine, was second pick of the litter in my opinion.

Potty training is rough because they're so small they need to go out often at first. I want to say I was taking her out every two hours (during the night)from week 7-10, then it gradually went up to four. It was nice once we hit six hours. During the day time I was taking her out probably every twenty to thirty minutes if she was not in a crate. I had to get a cat crate because the normal small one was too large. If you work a full time job, this will be a nightmare unless they can stay outside while you're away.

She's very intelligent. Learned to sit, stay, beg, come, her name, in just a couple sessions. If she gets a scent it's hard to break her concentration for recall command. She's extremely attached to me, to the point she will cry for a bit(twenty minutes or so) if I leave her, my husband finds that very annoying. She will chase my car down the driveway if she gets out and sees I'm leaving. When she's tired she will beg me to hold her but if I'm busy she will find a place near by and doze, but doesn't like being out of sight. She plays very well with other dogs, we have three Pyrenees as livestock guardians, and she does well with them as well as bullies in the house. She doesn't chase my chickens and her favorite playmate was a kitten(it ran away, maybe eaten by a fox, not sure). She has a lot of manners and is very lady like, her feelings get hurt easily, she enjoys being clean, and communicates needs very well. Oh and she's an excellent mouser. She helps kill the mice in the feed storage shed.

This is probably too much information. I love her. She's the best dog I've ever had. Full of soul, love, and antics. Her parents are extremely endearing, also. One of them is stand offish towards non household members, the other will love anyone.

If you don't need protection, only an alarm and affectionate snuggler, they're perfect. Would not be my only dog, we keep two in the house that will eat strangers.

I appreciate the info! Okay so everyone was lying to me.

They can be dastardly dachshunds or wonderful weiners changing several times a day. They also can be very loud, they are like a house alarm whenever anyone but my wife shows up.

Aha. So like all small dogs, tons of ADD I guess?

Weiner dogs are some of the greatest dogs you could ever own. Iv had tons of them in my family over the years.

Aww what a cutie, looks young

Thank you. She was born last September, so about six months.

That's a cute weiner you have there. They love car windows way to much.
